Organisation/ Legal Requirements

As soon as you have decided upon the date of your wedding, confirm it with me to ensure the date is free. I will send a letter confirming the date, a Notice of Intention form and a brochure to assist you with the planning of your wedding.

When you have decided on the date, time and venue for your wedding an appointment should be made at least one month and one day prior to the wedding. At the first meeting I will ask you to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage form supplied by me, and witness your signatures. If possible, I will sight your birth certificates ( or a passport if born overseas) and if previously married the decree absolute i.e. divorce papers and/or death certificate. Their registration numbers will be recorded and returned to you. NB. These must be sighted at some time prior to the wedding.
