"As your marriage celebrant,
I will work with you to create a wedding ceremony to
touch your heart and
be remembered by all."
Beautiful words express your feelings. Shown below are a small selection of verses and readings available - which may be included in your wedding ceremony....................
“Poetry is the music of the soul, and,
above all, of great and feeling souls.”

Alternate Giving Away:
Giving Away of the Bride
Bride would like to acknowledge her parents ..... & ......... for their love, nurturing, support and protection that they have given throughout her life. Although .......................... & .................................... love & support will never cease to exist, today, they are giving their daughter in marriage to Groom.
Keeping all of this in mind I ask you and your family:
“Do you, ........ & .................. & your family, give your daughter ................ to the care of groom?”
Parents : “We do.”
Being a family
Means you're a part of something wonderful
It means you will love
and be loved for the rest of your life
The love of a family is life's greatest blessing and today we are here to share with the world our love, our family.
~~My dearest friend, I'd like to join you by your side.
Where we could gaze into the stars, and sit together, now and forever.
For it is plain as anyone could see, we're simply meant to be.
I love you
because the Earth turns round the sun
because the North wind blows North
because winters flow into springs
and the air clears after a storm
because only my love for you
despite the charms of gravity
keeps me from falling off the Earth
into another dimension
I love you
because it is the natural order of things
Love is the reason why this day
Was chosen. by you both
To begin your lives together
And love is the reason why you both
Will give with all your hearts for the good of each other.
Love is the reason
That together you will become one
One in hope, One in believing in life and
One in sharing the coming years. You shall not walk alone,
My heart will be your shelter,
And my arms will be your home.
From this day forward,
You shall not walk alone,
My heart will be your shelter,
And my arms will be your home.
Blessing of the Apaches
Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter for the other. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there will be no loneliness, for each of you will be companion to the other. Now you are two persons, but there is only one life before you. May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead and through all the years. May happiness be your companion and your days together be good and long upon the earth.

May true contentment and happiness be yours
the blessing by wendy haynes
May you be blessed with many years of happiness and a shared peacefulness of spirit.
Today you are giving yourself freely and openly to each other.
May your commitment to one another continue to grow in its depth and understanding.
With each new day may you move deeper into your love that joins you as one. May you trust each other, particularly in times of difficulty, knowing that together you can weather any storm.
May your love, trust and respect for each other grow with each passing day. May you call upon the ever present love and peace that resides within in each of you, knowing that there will be moments of perfection and harmony, and times of imperfections and weaknesses.
May your love be capable of forgiveness and encouragement when needed.
Finally, may you be blessed with open hearts and clear vision, and may you feel the love and friendship that surrounds you here today as you celebrate your marriage.
We love you dearly and our love goes with you.
Art of Marriage
A good marriage must be created
In marriage the little things are the big things
It is never being too old to hold hands
It is remembering to say 'I love you' at least once a day
It is having a mutual set of values and common objectives
It is standing together facing the world
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in friends and family
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating
Gratitude in thoughtful ways
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow
It is not only marrying the right person
It is being the right partner
There is no greater happiness that that of sharing life
With all its joys and all its cares , as a loving man and wife.
For love gives life new meaning, and has a special way
Of growing stronger, and deeper, with every passing day.
Yes, life is so much happier and brighter when you’re sharing
The very special joys that come with loving and giving and caring.Just for you
Blessing the Marriage
So live your lives with passion, compassion and excitement. Play, dance and share in life's long journey. Make footprints in the sand and sail in the gentleness of the winds. Climb mountains together, laugh together, cry together and smile often. Make life magical and extraordinary. Be happy, be silly; rejoice in life's beauty from now on and into all of your tomorrows for you will be partners in love for life, remembering while sailing on the great ocean of marriage to always be one other's best friend.
Blessing for a Marriage
James Dillet Freeman
May your marriage bring you all the exquisite excitements a marriage should bring, and may life grant you also patience, tolerance and understanding.
May you always need one another - not so much to fill your emptiness as to help you know your fullness.
A mountain needs a valley to be complete; the valley does not make the mountain less, but more; and the valley is more a valley because it has a mountain towering over it. So let it be with you and you.
May you need one another, but not out of weakness.
May you want one another, but not out of lack.
May you entice one another, but not compel one another.
May you embrace one another, but not encircle one another.
May you succeed in all important ways with one another,
and not fail in the little graces.
May you look for things to praise, often say, "I love You!", and take no notice of small faults.
May you enter into the mystery which is the awareness of one another's presence - no more physical than spiritual, warm and near when you are side by side, and warm and near when you are in separate rooms or even distant cities.
May you have happiness, and may you find it making one another happy.
May you have love, and may you find it loving one another.
Love is the Best Part of Marriage
To love is to share life together
To build special plans just for two.
To work side by side And then smile with pride
As, one by one, dreams all come true
To love is to help and encourage
With smiles and sincere words of praise,
To take time to share, to listen and care
In tender, affectionate ways.
To love is to have someone special
On whom one can always depend
To be there through the years
Sharing laughter and tears
As a partner, a lover, a friend.
To love is to make special memories
Of moments you love to recall
Of all the good things that married life brings
Love is the greatest part of all.
Love is always patient and kind.
It is never jealous.
Love is never boastful or conceited.
It does not take offence,
And is not resentful.
Love takes no pleasure
In other people's faults,
But delights in the truth.
It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope.
It is always ready to endure whatever may come.
True love does not come to an end.
Family & Friends
You may be our friends
You may be our family
You may be strangers to each other
But not to us.
You are here today as our witnesses
You may have been our mentors and guides.
You all know your part
And why you are here with us today.
You are all so welcome
As you have made us
And you have shaped us
Your being here to share our wedding
Means everything to us.
You’ve each had a special role to play
In our family reaching this special moment
We are all sharing today.
True love is a sacred flame
That burns eternally,
And none can dim its special glow
Or change its destiny.
True love speaks in tender tones
And hears with gentle ear.
True love gives with open heart
And true love conquers fear.
True love makes no harsh demands.
It neither rules nor binds,
And true love holds with gentle hands
The heart that it entwines.
These Are the Key to a Loving, Lasting Relationship
Love one another with all your hearts.
Give more than you take.
Don’t ever take your relationship for granted.
Have heart to heart talks and really communicate.
Be trusting, playful, intimate and kind.
Appreciate all the little, special things.
Recognise that time spent together is a treasure.
Make the most of what each day brings.
Know that nothing is sweeter than the warmth of one hand within another.
Walk together in the direction you want to go.
Be supportive and sharing and open to change.
Always continue to grow.
Cherish the blessing which so few truly find.
Have dreams to reach out for through the years.
Share one another’s smiles through the good times.
Be everything to one another through the tears.
What your time together lack in quantity, make up for with quality.
Call to say “I love You” in the middle of the day.
Keep your sense of humour and hold on to your hopes.
Don’t let work or worries get in the way.
Make love a sanctuary and a celebration.
Make each moment more precious and each season more glad.
Realise how lucky you are to be two … together.
And make the best memories any two people ever had.

One of my favourites- and lots of fun:
Oh! The Places You’ll Go!
by the incomparable Dr. Seuss
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
You’ll look up and down streets. Look’em over with care. About some you will say, “I don’t choose to go there.” With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet, you’re too smart to go down a not-so-good street.
And you may not find any you’ll want to go down. In that case, of course, you’ll head straight out of town. It’s opener there in the wide open air.
Out there things can happen and frequently do to people as brainy and footsy as you.
And when things start to happen, don’t worry. Don’t stew. Just go right along. You’ll start happening too.
Oh! The Places You’ll Go!
You’ll be on your way up!
You’ll be seeing great sights!
You’ll join the high fliers who soar to high heights.
You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed. You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead. Wherever you fly, you’ll be best of the best. Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.
Except when you don’t.
Because, sometimes, you won’t.
I’m sorry to say so but, sadly, it’s true that Bang-ups and Hang-ups can happen to you.
You can get all hung up in a prickle-ly perch. And your gang will fly on. You’ll be left in a Lurch.
You’ll come down from the Lurch with an unpleasant bump. And the chances are, then, that you’ll be in a Slump.
And when you’re in a Slump, you’re not in for much fun. Un-slumping yourself is not easily done.
You will come to a place where the streets are not marked. Some windows are lighted. But mostly they’re darked. A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin! Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in? How much can you lose? How much can you win?
And if you go in, should you turn left or right…or right-and-three-quarters? Or, maybe, not quite? Or go around back and sneak in from behind? Simple it’s not, I’m afraid you will find, for a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind.
You can get so confused that you’ll start in to race down long wiggled roads at a break-necking pace and grind on for miles across weirdish wild space, headed, I fear, toward a most useless place.
The Waiting Place…for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go or a bus to come, or a plane to go or the mail to come, or the rain to go or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow or waiting around for a Yes or No or waiting for their hair to grow. Everyone is just waiting.
Waiting for the fish to bite or waiting for wind to fly a kite or waiting around for Friday night or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake or a pot to boil, or a Better Break or a string of pearls, or a pair of pants or a wig with curls, or Another Chance. Everyone is just waiting.
No! That’s not for you!
Somehow you’ll escape all that waiting and staying. You’ll find the bright places where Boom Bands are playing. With banner flip-flapping, once more you’ll ride high! Ready for anything under the sky. Ready because you’re that kind of a guy!
Oh, the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won. And the magical things you can do with that ball will make you the winning-est winner of all. Fame! You’ll be famous as famous can be, with the whole wide world watching you win on TV.
Except when they don’t. Because, sometimes, they won’t.
I’m afraid that some times you’ll play lonely games too. Games you can’t win ‘cause you’ll play against you.
Whether you like it or not, Alone will be something you’ll be quite a lot.
And when you’re alone, there’s a very good chance you’ll meet things that scare you right out of your pants. There are some, down the road between hither and yon, that can scare you so much you won’t want to go on.
But on you will go though the weather be foul. On you will go though your enemies prowl. On you will go though the Hakken-Kraks howl. Onward up many a frightening creek, though your arms may get sore and your sneakers may leak. On and on you will hike. And I know you’ll hike far and face up to your problems whatever they are.
You’ll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.
And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and ¾ percent guaranteed.)
Kid, you’ll move mountains!
So…be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray or Mordecai Ale Van Allen O’Shea, you’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So…get on your way!
